Flame of Africa

Daily Newspaper during international events covering african participation

January 2007 - New web site->http://flamme.panos-ao.org]

Since 2003, Flame of Africa has ensured the media coverage of the Mumbai, Porto Alegre, Bamako and Nairobi WSF, as well as the Lusaka (2004), Conakry (2005) and Niamey (2008) African Social Fora. Flame of Africa, which is edited under printed, audio and digital media, has earned an experience that makes the newsletter a reference instrument enabling social movements to have their voice heard in the venue of the event, but also in their countries of origin; which is a decisive challenge to express the full extent of their advocacy, actions and desire to be real players of social change.

HIGH QUALITY WRITTEN AND SOUND PRODUCTION FOR READING, LISTENING AND BROADCASTING

But Flame of Africa is also a data bank for media productions on the WSF to be re-used.

The emphasis is sometimes laid on the e-dissemination of written and audio contents for better dissemination among the African audience that keeps abreast of the WSF news on distance. The editors and radio broadcasters having access to the Internet will be able to re-use real time productions for a steady coverage of the WSF, about challenging issues for African news readers and listeners.

Reports, papers, interviews, data… A wide range of quality media material are made available in French, English (and Portuguese if needed). These productions are downloadable, free of charge.
